Let's get to know you

asked once, when you first open the app — so no exercise has to ask you twenty questions mid-conversation

Pick a door · however much you want to give us

Nothing here is required. Skipping is a real answer, not a nag you have to dismiss — and you can change any of it later from Settings.

Your type profile · set what you know

the same six the Life Dashboard asks for, one at a time — two that help most, four optional

Enneagram type
Reactive attachment tendency
Myers-Briggs optional
StrengthsFinder top themes optional · up to 5
Hogan HDS risk style optional
Learning style optional

Six quick questions · no types needed

these don't guess your Enneagram — they set how a drafted answer should sound, which is the only thing the app actually uses a profile for

Skipped · neutral defaults

Nothing is drafted for you. Every exercise will ask you directly, with no answer pre-filled and no wording suggested.

The only thing you give up is Speed run — the 45-second mode that pre-answers a category from your profile. Guided and Quick review work exactly the same either way. You can come back and fill this in at any point from Settings.

What the app now knows · the card exercises are meant to show

the intended behaviour: an exercise never asks again, it shows this card and offers to use it, update it, or ignore it

What this changes — how a drafted answer gets worded
↳ so drafts will…
start atdefault
word itdefault
and writedefault
why these three?

All three are editable on their own, whether or not you set a single type — the profile is scaffolding for a first draft, never a verdict about you.

Who can see this — and what it is never used for
🔒 Yours, not the couple's. Your partner never sees this profile — only the answers you choose to submit into a shared exercise. It is never used to score you, your partner, or the relationship.
What carries to the exercise — and what doesn't, today
↷ What carries, and what doesn't — today Saved on this device. This profile is written to your browser's storage on this page, so it survives a reload and it is still here when you come back. It never leaves the device.

It does not reach the values exercise yet. That exercise is a separate page on its own address, which means its storage is separate too — it cannot read what this page saved, and we are not putting attachment or personality data into a link to get it there. The two only share a profile once they live inside one app. Until then, the exercise asks you directly.
